Warranty
Units are warranted by Intellihot Inc., and covers defects in materials, subject to the
applicable time periods and terms listed in the owners manual. The warranty effective start date begins on the date of commissioning, as shown on the unit display. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and any subsequent owner at the original install location and applies only when properly installed by a licensed contractor and operated in accordance with the instruction manuals. This warranty is limited to repairs or replacement of parts, at Intellihot’s options that are proven to be defective under normal use and connected only to potable water systems. Please refer to your I/O Manual for specific warranty information.
Limited Labor Coverage Terms & Conditions
Applicable to units manufactured on or after July 1st, 2024, have approved successful start up, and registered unit connected to telliCare.
- This limited labor warranty is applicable only when (1) the unit’s startup form has been properly completed and submitted, (2) Start-up has been approved by the Intellihot Technical Support team and the unit registered in our tracking system, and (3) telliCare is activated (registration completed) and the unit is connected online for remote monitoring. Without these three conditions, this labor warranty is void and null.
- Labor warranty starts per the installation date identified in the start-up form.
- Each model comes with a maximum number of hours (labor and travel included) that can be claimed during the 12-month limited labor warranty period.
- A support case must be registered by calling Intellihot Technical Support (1-866-692-6791), and the case number must be listed in all claim forms. Claim forms without case numbers, cannot be processed. Only written authorization issued by Intellihot Support Team is valid for labor warranty work. All other approvals. will not be considered
- If the unit is replaced during the 12-month limited labor warranty, the labor warranty continues for the unexpired period on the replacement unit.
- For each claim, one hour of travel time can be claimed in addition to the standard part replacement hours as listed in the table below. Irrespective of the number of units at a site, only one-hour of travel time can be claimed.
- Only the standard labor hours will apply. Additional hours cannot be claimed, even if the service took longer.
- The current flat fee rate is $100/Hr.
- Labor warranty cannot be claimed for:
- General and routine maintenance (such as air filter, flow sensor cleaning, descaling, condensate cup cleaning, etc.).
- Unauthorized part replacements.
- For Troubleshooting only
- Not having parts on hand, and taking another trip
- Stock unpaid units cannot be substituted in lieu of payment for labor claims.
- Extra materials used while performing service.
- Truck charges
- Additional overtime, holidays, out-of-service areas, taxes or GST on any labor.
