Both of the boilers in this select service hotel in the heart of Gatlinburg went down at midnight, leaving the hotel’s guests with no hot water. The Challenge

The three 100 gallon tanks were leaking and needed to be replaced. Space inside the mechanical room was limited. In addition, efficiency and reliability were guiding concerns as the hotel’s management priced out different equipment options.

The Intellihot Solution

A single Intellihot iQ1001 unit was installed and it is handling the entire domestic hot water load for all 103 guest rooms. The footprint of this heater is a third of the old tanks while still providing plenty of capacity. In the first year of installation, the hotel saved 30% on their gas bills.
