A 240-room chain hotel installed two Intellihot iQ1001 units and is projected to save over $10,000 in annual gas bills compared to tank-type systems.
A popular chain hotel with 240 rooms in Fort Lauderdale was looking for a new water heating system to replace its current setup. Among several options quoted to the hotel, the management decided to go with two Intellihot iQ1001 units.
Upon request, Intellihot’s applications team was able to project the units’ annual gas usage for the hotel. It was projected that the units would help the hotel save approximately $10,538, compared to a tank-style water heating system.
Moreover, the property also received a sizing guarantee for the Intellihot units selected using the manufacturer’s proprietary sizing calculator.
The units were installed by YTP Services, with Ferguson serving as the General Contractor. The icing on the cake for Ferguson was Intellihot’s BTU rebate promotional offer.
Ferguson was able to cash in $2 for every 1,000 BTUs of Intellihot equipment installed. In this case, they received a rebate of $4000 for installing approx. 2 million BTUs/hr. of Intellihot equipment.
