Tankless Alternative to Commercial Boilers

A commercial boiler simply heats water using a heat source depending on its type. A gas boiler uses natural gas to heat water while an electric boiler uses electric resistance elements to heat water. A traditional boiler heats water stored in a large tank. A tankless water heater (like our products) heats water on-demand as it flows through the system, thereby saving energy, costs, space and mitigating risks like Legionella and scaling. 

Every commercial boiler’s durability is different and depends on the make, model and manufacturer. Most of Intellihot’s commercial products come with a warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the applicable time periods and terms listed in the owners manual. The warranty effective start date begins on the date of commissioning, as shown on the unit display. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and any subsequent owner at the original install location and applies only when properly installed by a licensed contractor and operated in accordance with the instruction manuals. This warranty is limited to repairs or replacement of parts, at Intellihot’s options that are proven to be defective under normal use and connected only to potable water systems. The three main types of boilers are gas boilers, electric resistance boilers and air-source heat pump boilers. Gas boilers use natural gas to heat water. Electric resistance boilers use electric heating elements to heat water. Heat pump water heaters use energy from ambient air to heat water. 

A domestic boiler is typically installed in single-family homes/low-demand applications while a commercial boiler is used for more heavy-duty applications like multi-family homes, restaurants, hotels, manufacturing facilities, stadiums, etc.
