About the Chicago Innovation Awards:
The annual Chicago Innovation Awards is the Chicago region’s foremost recognition of the most innovative new products or services brought to market each year. The 2024 winners were announced at this year’s event held on Thursday, November 16th at the UIC Forum.
“Nearly 350 organizations [were] nominated for this year’s awards,” said Luke Tanen, President and CEO of Chicago Innovation. “As a group, these nominees are responsible for generating over $3.8 billion in new revenues and creating over 10,000 jobs. The winners represent the best from this very impressive group.”
About the Award-Winning Innovation:
Intellihot’s Electron Series is a range of the world’s first tankless heat pump water heaters.
They absorb heat from ambient air. They store the heat in a revolutionary thermal battery. They heat large volumes of water for commercial facilities with this thermal energy.
All without a bulky water storage tank that hogs space, complicates installation & operation, and heightens OpEx and CapEx. The Electron effectively mitigates every road block that deters businesses from transitioning away from natural gas and towards more sustainable water heating solutions like tankless heat pumps.
“Intellihot seeks to eradicate long-standing problems in the water heating industry such as staggering CO2 emissions and Legionnaire’s disease with an innovation-first approach so our consumers can take advantage of next-gen features like 24/7 factory monitoring and predictive diagnostics while knowing that these do not come at the cost of environmental degradation,” says Sridhar Deivasigamani, Intellihot’s Founder & CEO.
About Our Next Steps:
Apart from a variety of honors, Intellihot Inc. will be invited to ring the Nasdaq bell along with the other winners, in 2024.
After launching the Electron in early 2023, Intellihot Inc. has started accepting numerous orders. The first Electron iE1 unit was installed in a public school in D.C., with more schools in the district to follow soon.
With the help of the innovative 6-dimensional heat pump sizing tool developed by Intellihot, the organization has been rapidly taking new orders. With its applications team assisting facilities, Intellihot hopes to implement the groundbreaking technology in as many properties as possible to maximize the potential of emissions reduction.
