17 iE1 MID Units Power Village Concepts of Lake Stevens' Hot Water System

Contractor Spotlight: Trademark Plumbing

Engineer Spotlight: Emerald City Engineers

Application Details:

Village Concepts of Lake Stevens is an independent and assisted living community designed to support resident comfort, safety, and long-term efficiency. To meet the facility’s continuous hot water demands while supporting electrification goals, 17 Intellihot iE1 MID units were installed to deliver reliable, on-demand domestic hot water throughout the property.

To ensure optimal system performance, Intellihot’s Applications team worked closely with the project stakeholders during the design phase. This collaborative approach helped ensure the final configuration delivered both reliability and efficiency while maximizing the benefits of electrification.

Emerald City Engineers played a key role in the overall mechanical design, working in coordination with Intellihot’s Applications team to integrate the iE1 MID units seamlessly into the building’s infrastructure. Trademark Plumbing ensured a smooth installation at the site.

The iE1 MID was selected for this project as it meets local electric codes. The product is purpose-built for large electrification projects like Village Concepts of Lake Stevens, offering:

  • 100% electric operation with zero combustion

  • No stored potable water, reducing Legionella risk

  • Instant, on-demand heating for fluctuating resident usage

  • Scalable system design using multiple units for redundancy

  • Lower maintenance requirements and extended equipment life

With 17 units working together, the system provides built-in redundancy while maintaining consistent hot water availability across the property.
