Two iQ751s, One iQ251

The Intellihot solution meets all the demands of Domestic Hot Water (DHW) and Laundry, through an innovative design that contains two floor units for DHW and a wall unit for the laundry. The three units are connected so that there is never any interruption in the hot water supply to the building.

The Challenge

The original plumbing plan called for two water heaters with storage tanks, but neither the budget nor the mechanical room could accommodate the cost and space that the equipment would have required. The crew was on the hunt for a value-engineering option that would also solve their square footage issue.

The Intellihot Solution

Two iQ751’s and one iQ251 were purchased as a value-engineering effort. The two iQ751s formed the primary loop and one iQ251 wall-hung unit was installed to boost temperatures from the primary loop for the hotel’s laundry. Intellihot’s innovative solution reduced the CapEx of the hotel, and saved valuable space in the mechanical room.
