"We wanted a high efficiency domestic water heating system to replace our aging tanks that were beginning to fail. Ruptured and leaking tanks on 3rd and 4th floor mechanical rooms are never good for a hotel. We were able to eliminate 17 tanks totaling 1,700 Gallons of stored water with seven intellihot iQ units which have kept up with our hotel demand and haven’t skipped a beat.” - Steve Chambers, Director of Facilities

The property had 17 tank type heaters at 399,900 BTU each with 100 gallons storage. The aging heaters were failing, and leaks and failures were occurring regularly. With several mechanical rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, management was always concerned that the leaks might damage the below suites. The mechanical rooms were also low on space.
The Intellihot Solution
Management wanted to upgrade to water heating technology that was more efficient and required less space. Most importantly, they wanted to eliminate the risk of leaking storage tanks. The two iQ751s and five iQ1001s provided them with plenty of commercial water heating capacity without the bulky storage requirement.
